The announcement comes as AKQA unveiled the acquisition of a new office to accommodate continuing growth in employee numbers and client demand.

Morrissey, who has worked at AKQA for two and a half years said she was excited to “contribute more to our clients”.

On his promotion, Peterson, who has pioneered AKQA’s social practice since 2012, said: “AKQA is constantly adapting to create the optimum environment for client success. We are introducing a new and completely client-focused model where the teams, the client, and the output align closer together than ever before.

“This will only mean more entrepreneurialism, more speed, and most importantly, more value to our clients.”

This optimisation will also see more roles created in addition to the current 135 open global hires.
