Headphone brand Beats by Dr. Dre has worked with R/GA to create its latest EMEA campaign ‘Hear What You Want’ starring international midfielder for Spain and Barcelona Cesc Fabregas.
The series, which is already airing in the US featuring American athletes, demonstrates how Beats Studio Wireless helps sports stars get ‘into the zone’, silencing their rivals, blocking out the noise and hearing what they want in the lead-up to their matches.
The campaign will debut on Sunday 23 March in the UK, France and Spain, coinciding with the El Clásico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Of the creative, Rodrigo Sobral, executive creative director, R/GA London, commented: “The Hear What You Want campaign we developed with R/GA LA for Beats has been a massive success in the US, especially with the stories around the athletes leading up to the Super Bowl. So we wanted to start a similar story in Europe and kicking that off around El Clásico was a perfect moment to introduce a football feature in the campaign.”
Previous US instalments of ‘Hear What You Want’ have featured Kevin Garnett, Brooklyn Nets basketball player; American footballer with the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick and Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks American footballer.
