Walt Disney Home Entertainment today (19 March) ran a pop-up near London’s Covent Garden which allowed adults and children to walk away with their own “frozen friend”.

The ‘Adopt a Snowman’ initiative was created to celebrate the upcoming release of Disney’s Frozen, which is out on Blu-ray and DVD on 31 March.

Visitors to the pop-up left with their own snowman inspired by the movie character Olaf, complete with adoption papers and traditional attire.

The initiative played on the capital’s first snowless winter for 12 years, ensuring snow-lovers didn’t miss out on the “important and traditional past time” of playing with a snowman.

Frozen became the Walt Disney Animation Studios most successful feature of all time when it was released last year, taking in over £39m at the box office in the UK and Ireland alone.
