London Live, London’s first dedicated entertainment channel, has announced a partnership with second-screen platform provider Monterosa to provide the channel with its ‘interactivity backbone’.

Using the provider’s LViS Studio, a platform that allows producers and advertisers to create and monetise second-screen apps, London Live will be able to drive traffic to websites and mobile apps, to activate Twitter and Facebook users, and to generate deeper audience engagement for advertisers.

The platform will be integrated with Chyron graphics to provide real-time on-screen visualisation of interactivity, allowing producers to push results to the TV screen whenever they choose.

Anna Cronin, head of digital at London Live said: “Interactivity will be at the heart of what we do. We have incorporated the latest technology into our newsgathering services that mean we will be faster, more reactive and more detailed than anyone else about what is happening in the capital, this app will allow us to be truly interactive with London.”

The 24/7 TV channel, which launches 31 March, will also be deploying a range of LViS Apps, including London Loud, a tool that allows producers to ask the audience's opinion on hot topics and to differentiate between different demographic groups.
