Gala Coral hires Fiona Thorne for new corporate affairs director role
Gala Coral Group has announced that Fiona Thorne has joined its management team in the newly created role of corporate affairs director.
Thorne will be responsible for the development and delivery of the group's communication strategy including public affairs, financial PR, corporate positioning and issues management.
Commenting on the appointment, Carl Leaver, CEO said: "It is critical for our business, and for the wider industry, that we are able to engage fully in the important debate about the role that betting and gambling has to play in our society.
“We are delighted to have been able to hire someone of Fiona's experience and expertise to help us have the dialogue we need with all those who have an interest in the sector."
Thorne previously served as CEO at Fishburn Hedges and is set to take up her new role in early April. She will report to Gala Coral Group CEO Carl Leaver.
