Team Sky training partner Wahoo Fitness appoints Speed Communications for new launch
Wahoo Fitness has engaged Speed Communications to help launch its new KICKR Run products and leverage the brand’s partnership with Team Sky who will now be training exclusively with Wahoo’s KICKR Power Trainer.
“2014 is a going to be a very exciting year for Wahoo Fitness, having announced our Team Sky partnership; we are looking ahead to maximising the roll out of our new products and training apps. Speed are the perfect fit for us due to their in-depth knowledge of the cycling and endurance sectors combined with their exceptional knowledge and experience within consumer technology,” Kevin Abt, sales and marketing director of Wahoo Fitness Europe said.
At present Wahoo Fitness products are compatible with over 100 different training apps. The goal is to demystify heart rate training because integrating a heart monitor into a training plan will achieve better results.
Kate Boomsworth, MD of Speed said the agency was “looking forward to supporting the development of Wahoo’s business in the UK”. Speed will now manage Wahoo Fitness’ press office in the UK.
