Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has paired up with D&AD for ‘Inspired by Film’, a new campaign exploring the way film has inspired and influenced advertising.

Debuting during Advertising Week the programme will launch with a joint workshop on the 3 April celebrating the links between film and advertising, promoting a conversation around the cross fertilisation of ideas.

Included in the film will be a series of Q&A’s with directors who have worked in both film and advertising, alongside a series of features exploring the art of scene making, trailer creation and lighting.

DCM marketing director, Zoe Jones said: “Working with D&AD in its mission to inform, educate and inspire those who work in the creative industries is a privilege and a passion for DCM.

“The very best writing, directing and storytelling talent works across the film and advertising industries and D&AD’s commitment to the legacy of the most innovative and creative work as well as its commitment to developing future talent and innovations is what we’re truly inspired by.”

DCM will also challenge young filmmakers to create a 25 sec ident as part of this process.
