From today, Facebook has rolled out an update to make Pages look more streamlined on desktop. We take a look at the changes.

According to Facebook, changes made to Pages will look to "make it easier for people to find the information they want and help Page admins find the tools they use most", with an updated timeline display and easier access to admin tools.

Timeline on Pages

Under the new display, the right-hand side of the page will show all the posts from the Page. "This one-column display," Facebook suggests, "means that all of your posts will appear consistently on your Page and in News Feed."Previously, posts have alternatively displayed in the right and left hand columns.

Company info on Pages

The left-hand side of the page will now feature key information about the business, including the website URL, number of likes on Facebook and pictures. This is also where a blurb about the business will appear.

Accessing admin tools

Navigation options have been added to the top of the Page, to make it easier for admins to access activity, insights and settings. Facebook added: "No matter where you are on your Page, you can now view information about the ads you’re running and new likes on your Page, as well unread notifications and messages. You can click on any section in the This Week section for more detail."

Pages to watch

Facebook is also rolling out its Pages to watch feature to all page admins, allowing them to compile a list of Pages similar to their own and compare the performance of their Page with others. This includes a feature to view the past week's most engaging posts from the Pages you’re watching, as well as key stats such as increase in likes over the past week and how many posts have been written.
