Mason Zimbler has appointed Gail Parminter, founder of Madwomen, as senior copywriter, where she will hold responsibility for building a strong copywriting team and overseeing the quality of its output.

Parminter, who has previously held roles at agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi X, will work with creative director Alan Kittle to develop breakthrough concepts with the aim of putting clients at the forefront of their industries, including a lot of brands in the technology sector.

“The tech sector still has something of a macho reputation,” Kittle admitted. “But the reality is that many leading players are women, and much of our activity is targeting women – both as consumers and professionals. Gail has a real talent for understanding audiences then developing propositions that resonate and deliver results. She is also an inspiring team leader and an exceptional copywriter. Her feminist credentials represent just one of the reasons why we selected her to head-up our copy team.”

Mason Zimbler clients include Microsoft and IBM.

“It’s rare to find a marketing agency that has an effective gender-balance at a senior level, especially in creative departments. I’m very glad to be bucking that trend with such a progressive firm,” Parminter added.
