BBH Sport launches with Virgin Media Commonwealth Games and Rugby World Cup

Bartie Bogle Hegarty (BBH) has launched a new sport division headed-up by Rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio, media expert Kevin Brown and creative director Owen Patterson.

The team will bring the advertising agencies brand strategy, execution and measurement skills to the fore with sports organisations, events and personalities, partnering with BBH’s existing client base whilst nurturing its own.

Virgin Media Commonwealth Games, Weetabix and the Rugby World Cup 2015, as well as on-going assignments from Adidas will be amongst the fledgling agencies first jobs, including collaboration with an unnamed ‘major global sporting icon’ on their brand.

Ben Fennell, chairman of BBH Sport said: “This is a very different sports business, with a unique proposition and a management line up of the very highest quality Lawrence, Ewan and Kevin will make an exceptional leadership team. They are all proven performers at the highest level and they know the sports market, BBH, and each other extremely well.
