McCormick, which owns brands including Schwartz, Ducros and Kamis, has appointed Starcom MediaVest to run its media and digital account across 11 EMEA markets.

The deal will see the agency develop an EMEA-wide platform for the brands, handling McCormick’s regional communications strategy, online and offline media activation, content production and delivery through search, customer relationship management, website management and social media.

Jeremy Shute, vice president of marketing, McCormick EMEA, said: "We needed an agency partner with depth and breadth and the ability to scale campaign innovation quickly across our EMEA markets. Starcom MediaVest Group’s response is consistent with our approach and supports McCormick’s EMEA marketing strategy.”

Creating ways to engage consumers with the brands will also form part of Starcom MediaVest’s agenda.

“In bringing together data, digital and content for McCormick's brands, we will ensure our campaigns deliver powerful human experiences,” said Jodie Stranger, executive director of global network clients at Starcom MediaVest Group.

The agency also counts Heineken, Novartis, Honda and Samsung among its clients.
