Martin Parkes returns to McCann Birmingham in creative director role

McCann Birmingham has appointed Martin Parkes as creative director.

Parkes previously spent eight years in the agency’s creative department as creative group head, and brings previous experience from periods at Golley Slater, Advertising Principles, Wallis Tomlinson and WAA.

His role will support Vince McSweeney, McCann Central’s group executive creative director, who said: “I’m really delighted to be bringing Martin Parkes on board as creative director at McCann Birmingham.

“Martin’s an exceptionally talented guy, with brilliant presentation skills and real leadership qualities. 2013 was a great year for us at McCann and 2014 is shaping up to be even bigger.”

Parkes added: “The agency is going through an exciting time, with a real focus from every department to push its creative product.”
