Cancer charity CoppaFeel has teamed up with the Sun to launch Check ‘em Tuesdays, urging women to check themselves for breast cancer.

The front page of today’s issue of the Sun has been taken over to promote the initiative, as well as several inside pages.

As part of the six month partnership, readers of the Sun will be reminded by Page Three girls on a weekly basis to get checked, with over 50,000 women and 400 men being diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

CoppaFeel founder Kris Hallenga described Page Three as the most famous breasts in Britain, adding:“If someone had educated me about breast cancer and how to spot the signs, I might not be in the predicament I am in now where I have to go into hospital every month for treatment and take a daily cocktail of drugs.

“I am proud to be doing whatever I can to prevent other women going through what I have been through and I am so excited about this partnership and what we can achieve from it.”

The Sun editor David Dinsmore added that the partnership, which will see the newspaper deliver £1.5m free coverage, allowed Page Three to “do some real good”.
