Kevin Bacon to headline The Festival of Media

Kevin Bacon is to headline this year's The Festival of Media in Rome which will aim to cover key trends in media.

Bacon is expected to discuss the growth of his own personal brand in recent years, including his involvement in the EE marketing campaign in recent years, while attending the event in Rome in April.

Others set to speak include Craig Hepburn, global director of social media and digital for Nokia, Kimberly Kadlec, worldwide VP global marketing group, Johnson & Johnson and Lewis D'Vorkin, chief product officer for Forbes.

Also confirmed is a panel session with MTV founder and Clear Channel Communications CEO, Bob Pittman, AS Roma's digital content manager, David Collett and Net-a-Porter's group mobile manager, Sarah Watson.

Charlie Crowe, festival chairman and editor in chief of the festival, explained: "We have responded to the media industry's rapidly changing pace and growth by offering the biggest and most diverse agenda yet, with more speakers than ever, covering the most pressing media industry issues from content marketing to native advertising and wearable technology. We will also be looking to the future, examining the trends, strategies and forces of disruption shaping the media industry."

The Festival of Media, in association with The Drum, will take place on 6-8 April at the Cavaleri Hotel in Rome.
