Scottish Swimming continues to use online tools to promote all levels of swimming with new website

The new site hopes to encourage Scots to take up the sport

Scottish Swimming has marked another step in its progressive online strategy by unveiling a new fully responsive website developed with agency partner Dog Digital.

The National Governing Body’s bid to ensure everyone can swim was a key goal of the site, encouraging swimming at all levels with extensive information for swimmers and new features such as a Pool, Club and Event Finder which is integrated with Google Maps to enable journey planning and directions.

Scottish Swimming’s social channels have also been incorporated into the site allowing visitors to view and interact with social content all in one place.

“We have had great response from our members and partners for our activities on social media channels and live streaming, and the website is now pulling all those activities into one portal, which makes it so much easier for people to keep up with the latest news. With an ever increasing amount of people using our website from mobile phones and tablets, we now have a solution in place that makes it enjoyable for all users. The marketing team at Scottish Swimming, Dog Digital and people in our focus group have been working hard to make the site happen, and we are very happy with the result,” said Markus Sitz, marketing development manager for Scottish Swimming.

Rory Patience, business development manager – sports and entertainment at Dog Digital, added: “It’s been a total pleasure working with Scottish Swimming and we’re very pleased to launch their new fully responsive site at the beginning of a very exciting year in Scottish sport.

“The team at Dog has designed to work hard for the needs of all visitors, and to showcase the excellent work that the team at Scottish Swimming do on their social channels.”

The site has been designed to offer optimised display on any device, seamlessly adapting to desktop, tablet and mobile.
