Betfair set to use Snapchat to offer exclusive odds on Premier League fixtures

Betfair is set to use photo messaging app Snapchat to target consumers directly with exclusive odds, starting from this weekend.

Betfair will distribute an exclusive ‘enhanced double’ offering on the social platform on the morning of Saturday’s Premier League fixtures: rather than the current odds, the offer will allow customers to place a maximum £10 bet at an exclusive enhanced price.

Betfair brand director, Mark Ody, commented: “We are hugely excited about exploring the potential of Snapchat as a marketing tool, and one that seemed a perfect fit for us as a brand with technology and innovation at our heart.

“Snapchat is a relatively new, yet rapidly growing social media platform, which I’m certain will play a huge role in the marketing mix of companies going forward. To be one of the first brands, and the first betting company, to make use of the platform is very exciting. It has huge potential for us as a business.”

The first 500 customers to place a bet on the URL will benefit from Betfair’s enhanced odds, with only those who follow betfairofficial able to receive the snap.
