Nutella spreads thank you message to fans to celebrate 50 years in first global campaign

Nutella has launched its first ever global marketing campaign to say “thank you” to fans across the world as it celebrates 50 years.

A new global television advertising campaign is being used online in the UK to drive awareness of the campaign through online activity, as well as the Wake Up To Nutella TV ad continuing to run.

The multi-million pound global campaign celebrates the brand’s role in families’ lives and encourages consumers to submit their Nutella stories in the form of text, photo or video via www.nutellastories.com.

Everyone who submits a story will receive a personalised name label for a 400g jar of Nutella.

A Ferrero spokesperson says: “Nutella always elicits a strong response and its fans have a fantastic emotional connection to the product. When it came to celebrating the 50th anniversary, it seemed obvious to us that we should place the fans at the centre of our anniversary activities to thank them for their continued support of the brand.”

Limited edition jars will be available in-store until July at Tesco, with a Nutella birthday party taking place on 18 May.
