Account Round Up: Regus appoints UM for global brief, SONY names £50 million agency and Brandnation picks up Bestform

Regus has appointed UM to handle its global media account, which will include the creation of a global media communications plan across 100 countries. The appointment of the IPG Mediabrands agency follows a competitive pitch process. Regus works with global companies around the world such as GlaxoSmithKline, Toshiba and Google.

Brandnation has won the Bestform business

Royal Greenland, a major seafood supplier, has awarded its UK communications contract to specialist food agency Pelican Communications.

Encona, the UK producer of hot pepper sauces, has appointed My Agency to bring the brand to TV screens for the first time. The campaign was created by My Agency’s creative partner Luke White and directed by Liam Chapple at Mainframe.

Home Retail Group has appointed HGA Creative to handle events and an internal branding project. Home Retail Group owns brands such as Argos, Homebase, Habitat and Financial Services.

Sony Electronics has appointed Adam & Eve/DDB to work on its £50 million European advertising account, winning the business from McCann London.

French lingerie brand Bestform has awarded its media relations account to Brandnation’s fashion PR team. Brandnation has been tasked with repositioning the brand in the UK market, targeting a younger audience and increasing brand awareness through all media channels including trade, consumer, digital and social.

Power engineering firm EA Technology has appointed Chester-based de Winter PR to handle it global PR brief. The account will be handled by a team of four in the agency’s B2B division.

Fernandez & Wells has engaged digital agency Somewhat to create its new website.

Grand Central Birmingham, a major new shopping destination due to open in 2015, has appointed RBH as the lead creative agency partner for its launch. The agency’s appointment follows a stringent OJEU tender and procurement process.
