Visit Guernsey has appointed Vivid to handle creative and advertising services for the island as part of a three year contract.

As part of the tourism marketing appointment, which comes following a competitive pitch, the Manchester based agency will look to promote the island.

Mike Hopkins director of marketing and tourism, said: “The Visit Guernsey team are really looking forward to working with Vivid, they are an energetic and creative agency who I am sure will help us reinvigorate brand ‘Guernsey’ and our supporting campaigns.”

Rachel Emson, brand and managing director of Vivid said of the win: “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Visit Guernsey, they have a wonderful team and we share their passion for tourism. Guernsey is a beautiful island with so much to offer visitors, and whilst we love working with our mainland clients, it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to be able to work on the Bailiwick.”

In 2010, Visit Guernsey created a YouTube page as it looked to put social media at the heart of its strategy.
