GMC has partnered with DigitasLBi US to create an HTML5 scrolling site with a cross-platform experience for the 2014 GMC Sierra.

Along with MediaMonks, DigitasLBi's US office designed the site to enhance GMC's existing broadcast campaign with immersive sound and Hollywood-calibre computer-generated imagery (CGI).

Users of the site have full control over their experience enabling them to see, hear and feel all of the features of the new Sierra pickup.

"With the 2014 GMC Sierra, GMC rethought the design and engineering of what a full-size pick up should embody,” said Sandra Moore, director of advertising and promotions for Buick and GMC.

“It was only natural that we looked at re-engineering the scrolling site experience for our customers."

Marc Gottesman, creative director at DigitasLBi, added: "There are more ways to explore a story than by scrolling down a single page. The Sierra demands a digital experience that demonstrates the substantial, innovative, professional-grade essence that the vehicle itself embodies."

The site itself includes a dynamic Z-axis feel, context-dependent scrolling interactions and originally-produced, full-frame scrollable HD animations.
