Leicester Music Festival (LMF) has appointed Tonic Communications to handle PR and communications ahead of the event.

LMF will be held at the Leicester Tigers ground on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July, with 22,000 festival-goers expected to attend on each day from across the county and neighbouring areas.

Shane Whitfield co-founder of LMF, explained: “We work very much on chemistry and when we met the team from The Tonic we felt they had the right skill set, attitude and passion to make LMF a success. As this is a completely new event for the city, we wanted a PR partner who could do more than just handle media relations; we needed an agency who could roll up their sleeves and work effortlessly to help make LMF become the most eagerly-awaited event on the social calendars of families across the East Midlands. We have that partner in The Tonic Communications.”

Acts lined up for the two-day festival include X Factor boyband Union J, Professor Green, and Billy Ocean.

The agency will provide support across media relations, partnership relations, advertising and sponsorship.
