Deal: Blue Rubicon has acquired Open Road
The acquisition also marks plans from Blue Rubicon to support clients in Brussels and Washington in the future, and comes after the agency’s recent opening of offices in Doha and Dubai.
Gordon Tempest Hay, CEO of Blue Rubicon, said: “Through our partnership we’re bringing together two independent consultancies with a similar mindset, approach, reputation and strategic communications offer.
“It builds on a shared belief in joined-up communications across all channels as well as the shared history, going back nearly 15 years, of our respective directors.”
Graham McMillan, CEO of Open Road, added: “We believe we have found the perfect partner in Blue Rubicon – an agency which shares our values and has an outstanding reputation and client list.
“We are very excited about the synergies between the two agencies and about what we believe we can achieve together.”
A statement said that Open Road will “initially” retain its name and location.
Open Road’s clients incluse Asda, BDO, Vodafone, Eurostart, Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation and Prudential. Blue Rubicon counts Facebook, Coca-Cola, GSK and McDonald’s among its clients.
