Walkers Sunbites tells the story of ‘Cardboard Jane’ in its new national TV ad campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the multigrain snack.

Created by AMV BBDO, the ad brings to life the idea that if you eat the same things over and over again, life will get a little dull. Poor old Cardboard Jane has eaten the same things for so long that she too has turned to cardboard.

The ad shows us Jane’s cardboard head in the shower, eating cardboard cereal for breakfast and having a cardboard sandwich for lunch. When offered a Sour Cream & Cracked Black Pepper Sunbite from her friend the flavour and crunch breaks her free from her cardboard world, with her cardboard head exploding to reveal the woman underneath, showering the park in confetti.

Running from today (Friday 7 February) until 28 March, the activity marks the first time viewers will see Walkers Sunbites on their TV screens since 2011.

Cardboard Jane’s story will also feature on social media, with a 60” execution running on Facebook, and a custom made Twitter profile for the character.
