GetTaxi, the taxi-ordering app, has appointed Fetch to manage all its international mobile media campaigns across regions including the UK, US, Israel and Russia.

Fetch has been briefed to run GetTaxi’s mobile acquisition activities across iOS and Android platforms in-order to drive downloads, registrations and to grow the number of people using the app.

“With GetTaxi being in such a competitive space, 2014 will be about scaling across multiple markets whilst driving cost efficiencies,” said James Connelly, co-founder and CEO at Fetch. “As an agency that’s passionate about creativity and innovation, we’re extremely excited about working with GetTaxi and to help them to grow and strengthen its mobile offering in this very large and disruptive market.”

The agency will work with GetTaxi to refresh the brand’s mobile marketing strategy, as well as working closely with an array of local and global partners, such as Facebook and TapJoy.

Rich Pleeth, VP of global marketing at GetTax, added: “For me, Fetch was a clear winner. The agency’s outstanding expertise, capabilities and industry accolades speak volumes. I have complete faith, in James and his team, that they will strengthen GetTaxi’s mobile capability, in a global context, and by extension, bolster our digital and social offering to better serve all of our clients.”

The first campaign looks to target customers based on their personal needs, be it socialising, business, weather or travel.
