Murray Foote has been appointed editor of Trinity Mirror title the Daily Record and Jim Wilson has been named editor of sister paper the Sunday Mail.

Appointments: The titles have new editors

“As well as maintaining our position as Scotland’s best print brands they will be responsible for driving and accelerating our digital audience growth.”

Foote joined the Daily Record in 1991 and became deputy editor in 2000. In 2012, he was promoted to group editor of Media Scotland. Wilson has been executive editor of the Sunday Mail since 2012 after joining the paper in 2000.
