The research will be published on 16 April this year, and will rank agencies based on three criteria: financial performance, client satisfaction and peer influence.
Speaking of how the report will inform the marketing sector, Keith Hunt, managing partner at Results International said: "These reports turn into a bible for the industry. In an era of so much information to have something that is prepared in a scientific way to give an overview of how individuals rank against their peers is a huge bonus to everybody".
"It's one of the most exciting times ever to be an independent agency. There are so many opportunities for agile independents to identify niches and focus on new areas of expertise. Forward-looking agencies can develop in new sectors, grow to considerable size and provide a great service for their clients whilst the networks are playing catch-up," he adds.
Research for the Independent Agency Census is being carried out in partnership with the Recommended Agency Register (RAR). Information regarding the research and how to participate can be found here. UK independent agencies are being called on to complete the survey by Friday 14 February.
