Israel’s US embassy tweets support for SodaStream and Johansson in ongoing row
Israel’s US embassy has become embroiled in an ongoing row over the ethics of SodaStream’s decision to base a factory in occupied Palestinian territory.Following the screening of an advert starring the Hollywood icon at the Super Bowl a tweet emanated from the official account of the Israeli embassy, stating: ‘Love this, & Scarlett Johansson’.The social media back-up came just days after Johansson quit her role as an ambassador for Oxfam, after the charity publicly criticised her decision to endorse the brand.
