Churchill Insurance has launched its latest TV campaign fronted by comedian and actress Dawn French and accompanied by the 80s track ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ by British band Depeche Mode.

The campaign, which launches today (2 February), is named after the track ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’, and features two 30-second ads created by WCRS.

The two ads, called ‘Dance’ and ‘Metamorphosis’, follow the development of Churchill and French’s relationship as they relax and take some down time together while the Depeche Mode song plays in the background.

Given the song was made in the 80s the ‘Dance’ ad is intended to fit with the theme of Churchill’s 80 per cent discount for new car insurance customers who have eight years No Claim discount, which is being promoted in the ad.

Meanwhile ‘Metamorphosis’ shows French and Churchill discussing their anger at the fact 1.2 million drivers are uninsured on UK roads, which has been written in a newspaper story in the ad.

The ads, produced by Tomboy Films, kick off a wider campaign which also spans radio, press and digital.

MediaCom handled the media buying and planning for the campaign.

Dawn French began fronting the Churchill Insurance ads last February, replacing actor Martin Clunes.
