Snoop Dogg lends his star power to’s latest iteration of its ‘You’re So MoneySuperMarket’ campaign.

The advert, an extension of the current ‘Save Money, Feel Epic’ theme, focuses on car insurance and the savings that can be made just by comparing the price of household bills.

The ad, which was filmed on location in Los Angeles, tells the story of Phil, a skinny British dude, who feels so epic about the savings he’s made of car insurance that he takes on a swagger epic enough to give the impression he’s driving an invisible all-American classic Chevy Low Rider.

As Phil cruises around LA in his imaginary pimped up ride, he blasts out Snoop Dogg’s hip-hop classic ‘What’s My Name?’. Pulling up alongside another Low Rider Phil notices the other driver is none other than Snoop himself who offers a nod of respect.

Gareth Helm, brand director at, said the ad was all about celebrating “just how great it feels when you save with us”. Speaking of the ad, he commented: “In Phil’s case, this feeling transforms him to an epic dude which isn’t just recognised by the G’s and Honey’s of LA’s hip hop scene but also by the legendary Snoop himself. It’s fun and uplifting and should keep the nation saving on their regular bills with us and feeling great about it.”

Working again with creative agency Mother, Tim McNaughton, creative director at the ad agency, remarked: “Feeling epic is what this ad is all about and the main character, Phil, shows that saving money not only makes you feel great but it adds a swagger to your step. The use of Snoop Dogg highlights this mood as he is the epitome of self-assured confidence and is a welcome addition to the 'You’re So MoneySuperMarket' campaign.”

In addition to the TV ad will also run additional marketing support with activity planned across PR, CRM and social media.
