On The Beach, the online travel agency, has unveiled its first TV ad, created by Cheethambell JWT.

The TV ad has aired on ITV and Channel 4, and will be supported by a press ad, unveiled this week.

Tanase Rivers, brand manager at On the Beach, said: “We chose CBJWT because they are experts at helping online brands use offline media to drive traffic and to build awareness. This commercial totally captures how On the Beach specialises in simply providing awesome beach holidays – Totally Beachin’!”

The media for the campaign was bought by Mediacom North.

David Bell, CEO of CBJWT, said: “It’s not every day that you get the chance to introduce a new word into the English language, but that’s exactly what we have done for On The Beach.”

Previously, the company has focused on its large online presence.
