Vice Media has struck a partnership with southeast Europe’s leading media and entertainment company, Antenna Group, in a strategic bid to boost the presence of the youth media brand in the region.

The move will extend Vice's distribution capabilities, and is linked to the launch of bureaus, digital content channels, and linear TV programming which aim to provide domestic audiences with Vice content across a range of platforms.

The decision comes ahead of the launch of a global online platform Vice News, and follows the opening of a Vice office in Athens, which is positioned to deliver video and editorial content for both domestic and international audiences.

Antenna Group CEO Theodore Kyriakou said: “I am extremely proud and happy that we have now entered this strategic relationship with Vice. I think we make a formidable team, with Antenna’s experience in South East Europe and Vice’s expertise as a leader in producing and distributing contemporary, cutting edge, multimedia content".

Vice currently operates in 35 counties, where it produces 'edgy' video and editorial content that focuses on news, music, culture, technology, sports and fashion.

The news follows the success of TV show 'VICE' which aired on US cable network HBO last year, and the appointment of Matt O'Mara as UK managing director, as the company prepares to invest in TV partnerships in the UK.
