Halewood International brand Tsingtao is to hit cinema screens for the first time in order to promote its Dragon Ping Pong activity.

Running from today (Friday 24 January) until Friday 21 February the minute-long ad, starring British model and actress Amy Jackson and Jamie Cho, hopes to generate maximum impact for the brand featuring in over 3,000 UK cinemas including Cineworld, Odeon and Vue.

In the ad Jackson and Cho compete in an underground ping pong tournament, emphasising the brand’s ambition for consumers to discover Dragon Ping Pong. The campaign drives consumers to the Dragon Ping Pong website, which provides information on events, venues, and Tsingtao’s robotic ping pong star, the Dragon Master, with customers able to ‘Challenge the Dragon’ for the chance to win prizes at their nearest event.

“The campaign offers Tsingtao the opportunity to reach a captive audience, who are generally more relaxed and focused on the big screen,” said James Wright, international sales and marketing controller for Tsingtao. “The advert will also align the brand with an upmarket and younger audience during Oscar season, and convey the excitement of the upcoming Dragon Ping Pong events taking place across the UK.”

Dragon Ping Pong builds on the long-standing relationship Tsingtao has with the socially-popular sport of table tennis, enabling consumers to further engage with the in venues across the UK.
