Forever Beta has become the first UK-based creative agency to accept Bitcoin payments from clients after acknowledging the business growth potential of the crypto-currency.

The Shoreditch based integrated creative agency view the change as a means of proving their commitment to clients and follows their participation in Google’s ‘Bring Your Own Device’ campaign which enables organisations to handle an influx of personal tech to their businesses.

It also marries with the agency’s recent win of the global GetTaxi business, which enables cashless taxis to be flagged to the location of your mobile.

Robin Gadsby, managing director of Forever Beta said: "As an agency who are perpetually in beta, we are adapting to our clients needs and the markets they operate within - those driven by early-adopting consumers.”

Matt Rantell, partner and head of strategy of Forever Beta added: “We’re an agency based in the heart of Shoreditch, where you can engage business services and even buy a Bitcoin burger! It seems logical to allow Bitcoin payments from forward thinking clients who want to work with a forward thinking creative agency. If you’re hiring a creative agency in Silicon Roundabout you should be able to pay with Bitcoin."

In December, Manchester PR firm Pressat said that it was set to accept payment in the currency.
