Nissan has kicked off its #UniteAndExcite campaign with a high-octane film starring six-time Olympic medallist Sir Chris Hoy.

As the official partner of Team GB and Paralympics GB on the road to Rio 2016, following a deal brokered by Fuse, #UniteAndExcite marks the brand’s commitment to helping athletes achieve their goals and launches with a cinematic film which aims to bring to life the winning combination of innovation, determination and support.

Hoy will form a key part of the campaign, created by TBWA\London, providing fans with exclusive access to athlete’s stories and preparation via a dedicated branded hub. Of his involvement Hoy said: “I’m hugely excited to be a part of Nissan’s Team GB & ParalympicsGB partnership. Nissan is famed for its innovation and excitement, and the #UniteAndExcite partnership will see the excitement of the Games made more accessible to the British public, whilst Nissan’s innovation support will mean a huge amount for the athletes throughout their preparations for Rio 2016.”

Nissan GB marketing director, Guillaume Masurel, added: “We are excited to be launching our #UniteAndExcite campaign ahead of the forthcoming Sochi Winter Games laying out our commitment to supporting Team GB and ParalympicsGB over the next two-and-a-half years.”

Chris Spenceley, head of client services at TBWA\London, revealed that Nissan’s “unparalleled belief in innovation” was the starting point of the campaign and “provided the creative inspiration to take their relationship with our athletes to the next level.”

The campaign will be supported nationwide in Nissan dealerships with more communications set to be developed throughout the journey to Rio in support of Team GB and Paralympics GB.
