John Anicker has been named president and CEO of branding and design firm, Hornall Anderson.

Anicker, who was president of operations, replaces Jack Anderson, the agency’s co-founder and CEO who has stepped into the role of chairman.

As chairman, Anderson has relinquished day-to day operations, and is instead focused on overall long-term planning and strategy as well as providing ongoing counsel and direction to select clients.

"John has been a proven leader for Hornall Anderson over the past decade, and I am beyond confident that he will continue to move us in the right direction by bringing the highest level of value to our clients, ensuring the best culture for our talented employees, and driving sustainable growth for our firm and parent company," said Anderson. “And in my new role as chairman, I look forward to assisting in the firm’s continued success in the coming years.”

Anderson started the Seattle-based design firm in 1982, with then partner John Hornall. The firm is part of Diversified Agency Services, a division of Omnicom Group, and works with clients including Starbucks, Pepsi-Co., McKesson and Nordstrom from offices in Seattle and London.
