Two former creative technologists from BBH Singapore, who left the company to begin their own digital creative resource called Pie,are already working with Spotify and Nestlé.

The pair, Pieter Walraven and Thijis Jacobs, who were product director and head of creative technologies at the Singapore creative agency respectively, have set up a web application with the aim of allowing creatives to share and discuss ideas online.

The company, which has grown to eight people, was initially run out of a cafe for the first few months.

Speaking to The Drum, Walraven explained that the genesis of the idea to create the app stemmed from the number of links being shared over emails by staff within BBH Singapore.

"We loved the culture of sharing, but we saw that sharing links over email is completely broken. It clutters inboxes and relevant finds easily get buried. After talking to clients and partners about this issue we learned that they too have the same problem. This is when decided to build Pie."

The tool is being used by over 500 different companies including Spotify, Nestlé, TED, Edelman and Citi, although it is open for anyone to join and invite other members from within their company to do so too, according to Walraven.

Among its investors is former executive creative of BBH Asia Pacific, Steve Elrick, The Drum understands.
