Clipper Teas, the Fairtrade tea brand, is set to launch an awareness raising TV campaign, its first since 2010.

The brand recently appointed BBH London, tasking the agency with the creative and also developing and brokering the media plan for the campaign.

BBH was appointed by Clipper without a pitch, with Rebecca Vercoe, brand controller, Clipper Tea, explaining: “We have a huge job to do, to challenge the tea establishment and so we are absolutely delighted to be working with BBH, with their incredible track record of helping challenger brands deliver stand-out campaigns”

Jon Peppiatt, chairman of BBH London added that the Clipper Teas is a “challenger brand in a market that's dominated by some very big and well-established brands and that in itself presents a myriad of exciting opportunities.”
