Edwina Currie’s husband has asked his wife to ‘stop tweeting and pay him some attention’ after the former Tory MP complained about the number of people who use food banks and “the moment they've got a bit of spare cash they're off getting another tattoo”.Currie made the comments on BBC Radio Stoke, and has since faced an angry response from the public describing her views as ‘stupid’ and ‘crude judgementalism’.She responded to a number of these on social media, before tweeting that her husband had asked her to stop.

She went on to explain that he wanted her to ‘join him in bed’, adding “if a good looking bloke invites me to bed.. I'll consider it...”
