It feels like a while since there's been a properly joyous commercial for Cadbury, so hats off to everyone behind 'Keith' which introduces us to a Logistics Manager with an affection for disco music from the late seventies.

There are shades of a famous scene from The Full Monty as Keith slowly succumbs to the seductive sound of Baccara's Yes Sir, I Can Boogie when it's on his phone while he waits for his call to be taken.

At first his involvement with the classic track is minimal - but soon he's mouthing along to the lyrics, playing an invisible violin and using his swivel chair as a makeshift rowing boat while he traverses his office.

He's wrong-footed when the music is suddenly interrupted by a voice asking him if he's happy to stay on hold but quickly regains his stride when it starts up again.

Equating the advertised chocolate with the unexpected joy of hearing a long-forgotten favourite on a phone speaker is a neat conceit and the understated execution is really charming. After all, haven't we all occasionally found ourselves enjoying a piece of music so much in these circumstances that we begin to hope that the call will never be answered?
