Sky Go is set to unveil a day-long programming takeover with Absolute Radio on Monday, 20 January.

The move will bolster the position of Sky as headline partner of the Geoff Lloyd Hometime show, with listeners to guess what room in her house co-host Annabel Port is watching Sky Go on.

The Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show will launch a Sky Go themed competition to win one of four prize packages including a Samsung Galaxy Tab and a year’s free Sky TV subscription.

Callers will be brought to air throughout the day with each DJ and show using their individual editorial styles to bring Sky Go to life, and helping listeners to get the most from the service.

Katherine Knapp, head of promotions at Absolute Radio, said: “Sky Go will receive maximum exposure on the promotion day takeover and the entire campaign will reach a network wide audience just shy of 3.5 million listeners a week across the Absolute Radio Network. The aim for this campaign to increase our listeners’ awareness, understanding and use of Sky Go.”

This follows a long partnership between Sky and Absolute Radio, with Sky Sports continuing its season long sponsorship of Absolute Radio’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Football for the fourth year.
