Kenny Jacobs, the outgoing chief marketing officer for MoneySupermarket, has confirmed that he is moving to Ryanair to take up the same role and lead the airline's marketing strategy, group sales and communications.

The price comparison site confirmed Jacobs' departure to The Drum earlier today, 17 January.

The appointment of Jacobs, who assumes responsibilities for the role on 31 January, is part of a number of changes the company has made to the senior management team.

Lesley Kane who was previously head of sales and marketing has been promoted to become Ryanair’s head of groups and corporate sales. She has been replaced by Peter Bellew, previously the company's deputy director of flight operations.

Meanwhile Dara Brady who was the deputy head of web development has been promoted to head of web development.

Additional promotions have been made in the engineering and safety departments, with David O’Brien, who was previously director of engineering, announced as Ryanair’s new chief commercial officer.

Ryanair CEO, Michael O’Leary, said: “The Board and I have every confidence that this new senior management team will deliver Ryanair’s exciting plans to grow from 80 million to over 110 million passengers p.a. over the next five years and we are particularly excited by our seven new bases for summer 2014”

Today, Ryanair also rolled out a new TV ad in Ireland and revealed that it will be offering customers “a range of improvements in 2014.”
