SapientNitro acquires creative agency La Comunidad

SapientNitro has acquired La Comunidad, a creative agency which has in the past been recognised for its cross-cultural work for brands including Apple, Converse, Corona Extra, Modelo Diageo, MTV Networks, and Rolling Stone.

“As highly-connected, influential cross-cultural audiences rapidly become the new mainstream consumers, we see increasing opportunity to help clients create authentic experiences that resonate with an evolving target audience,” said Alan J. Herrick, president and CEO of Sapient. “The addition of La Comunidad further strengthens SapientNitro’s ability to help clients navigate a rapidly transforming environment.”

La Comunidad was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Miami, Florida with an additional office in Buenos Aires. It joins SapientNitro’s capabilities across brand, digital, commerce, and technology.

In announcing the move, Sapient cited research which suggested that the Hispanic population is estimated to reach $1.5trn in total spending by 2015, giving it a heavy influence over the total market.
