Infographic: User engagement growing 9 times faster than social networks
The entertainment industry has seen a 350 per cent annual growth in inbound messages on social over the past year, research from Social Sprout has found.The research found that people prefer to use Facebook to interact with many brands including automotive and retail, while Twitter is the platform of choice for entertainment, government, and technology brands.Each month, brands average 60 messages per 1000 followers on Twitter versus just 39 messages per 1000 fans on Facebook, the research found.Social Sprout also discovered in its research that user engagement on social media is growing at nine times the rate of social network growth.
