Imagination has hired Matthew Maxwell as digital creative director, tasking him with developing work for clients including Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

He has joined the agency from Sponge, where he worked on campaigns for McDonald's, Diageo, Asda and Barclays, and has previously served in as creative director at Draftfcb.

Ross Wheeler, head of automotive at Imagination commented on his appointment, saying: “Experiential marketing requires a truly integrated solution. Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge from the digital marketplace as well as a truly creative and artistic vision which is vital here at Imagination.”

Maxwell added: “As the channel has grown in importance and potential, and the borders of the 'digital' channel become harder and harder to define, becoming part of Imagination allows me to pursue my passion for creating better business through beautiful technology.”

Matthew assumed responsibilities at Imagination at the end of November 2013.
