WeSEE launches visual classification technology on AppNexus Marketplace

WeSEE has announced the launch of visual classification technology on the AppNexus Marketplace, to allow users to buy and sell online media in real-time.

AppNexus looks to simplify display advertising technology, with apps that can be incorporated into advertisers’ existing workflow within the AppNexus Console platform.

“Today, many technologies claim to provide accurately targeted ads, yet few of them take into account the visual content of a web page,” comments WeSEE co-founder and CEO Angie Lopez. “This is increasingly important given the high amount of images and videos across the web, particularly on social networks. WeSEE’s technology was developed with ad networks, exchanges, media buying platforms, ad agencies and data platforms in mind, so to see that a number of companies are already using the technology through the AppNexus platform is fantastic.”

WeSEE looks to drive highly targeted display advertising based on unique data insights gleaned from the text and visual make-up of a web page.
