Luxury Belgian chocolatier Godiva has appointed eCommera to underpin its online expansion plans as the brand looks to launch online in the UK next year.

The brand will make use of eCommera’s cloud based end-to-end commerce platform DynamicCommerce, powered by Demandware.

“We chose eCommera as our long term partner because they have proven experience in getting brands to market quickly,” said Sarah Hawkes, senior strategic merchandise manager at Godiva, of the appointment.

“As well as having the right technology they worked closely with us to help set our strategy for expansion across Europe – which was a key differentiator. We are now confident that we have the right plans and the right technology to deliver our international growth ambitions.”

eCommera CEO, Andrew McGregor, added: “We are delighted Godiva has chosen eCommera to help them realise their commerce potential in the UK. The brand is renowned here through their concession stores in Harrods & John Lewis and we look forward to helping them grow their business online.”

Godiva already has a physical presence in over 80 countries and is already sold online in the US, Japan and China.
