Holiday Inn hotels invites fans to sing along and share Christmas classics with 'Family Rock Out' app launch

Just in time for Christmas Holiday Inn hotels has launched a new app which allows users to sing along to rock ‘n roll Christmas carols.

Family Rock Out, developed by Naked Penguin Boy, aims to engage the brands family audience over the Christmas period as well as raising brand awareness and creating something fun and enjoyable and in keeping with the season.

Once recorded, videos can be saved or posted to Facebook and the Holiday Inn Facebook Rock Out wall where hundreds of videos already feature.

“Christmas is considered a special time for many people. So it is important to look back on it and remember those heart-warming, funny moments; like granddad playing the air guitar whilst mum gives her grunge rendition of jingle bells and little sister sings at the top of her voice. And that is what this App is all about, having fun and sharing special moments,” said Rowan Heasley, MD of Naked Penguin Boy.

Already featured at a series of events held at shopping centres to promote the Intercontinetal Hotel Group (IHG) brand, users have until Wednesday 18 December to upload videos to the Facebook Rock Out Wall to be in with the chance of winning £1,000 in shopping vouchers.
