BetFair's director of digital Ben Carter departs for Not On The High Street

Betfair's director of digital, Ben Carter has left the online gambling firm, to join gift website Not On The High Street.

Carter, who has worked at the Hammersmith headquartered company since October 2009, left his role yesterday (Friday 6 December.)

He has left to become marketing director of Not On The High Street.

Carter joined Betfair from his own consultancy Evolv Digital, initially holding the position of head of central online marketing services. He was then promoted in May 2011 to head of digital marketing and central acquisition before taking his most recent role in January of this year.

Prior to opening Evolv, he spent two years as head of online marketing at satellite broadcasting company Setanta Sports.

At the time of writing Betfair had not responded to The Drum's question over whether it had yet appointed a successor.
