Daily deals site Wowcher has launched its first ever cashback service - WowcherChing - pitting it directly against cashback giants Quidco and TopCashback.

The former voucher-only site, which is owned by DMG Media and claims 4.3 million subscribers, is looking to “shake up” the cashback affiliate market, which is largely dominated by Quidco and TopCashback.

Wowcher claims its “deal hungry” audience is new to the cashback model, with less than five per cent of its traffic having visited either of the top two competitors in the cashback market.

Wowcher CEO Roland Bryan said: “With more subscribers than any other cashback site, a premium customer base and unrivaled brand loyalty, we can offer our cash-back partners both the high volume and quality of customers they seek.

“Our customers will benefit from some of the best cash-back rates around, top retail brands, fast payment and our unique 10% Wowcher cash-back bonus. We are excited to be shaking up this market and looking forward to doing cash-back the Wowcher way.”

Brands including Boots, Very.co.uk and House of Fraser have signed up to use the new service, which will see customers receive 10 per cent cash-back bonuses.

The launch is being backed by a multichannel advertising campaign, including TV, social media, search and email marketing, as well as consumer and trade PR activity.
