Chilli Marketing has appointed Brazen to handle consumer and trade PR for its entire portfolio of drinks brands, including a major campaign for flavoured cider brand Rekorderlig.

Additionally Brazen will be launching new premium Swedish lager, Abro, into the UK in 2014, plus develop campaigns for beers brands Cusqueña and Saint, as part of the six-figure account.

Gemma Copping, marketing director at Chilli Marketing, said: “It was very clear that Brazen naturally shared the same ethos with the brands as we do at Chilli – innovation, pushing the boundaries, and not being afraid of being that little bit different, were all hallmarks of the Brazen plan. The team also demonstrated a real understanding of the market, our consumers and what was needed to put both brands at the top of their game in PR terms.”

In terms of Rekorderlig, the agency will look to promote the Swedish cider brand as the premium cider for all seasons through a variety of creatives and new product launches for both summer and winter editions.

Brazen founder Nina Webb said: “Chilli Marketing is a dream client partner for Brazen because we share the same passion for innovation, and we’re proud to be working with such an iconic brand as Rekorderlig, help introduce Abro to the UK and further establish the portfolio of beers brands.”

The appointment follows a four-way pitch.
